George J. Chromik was born in Germany on February 19, 1948, the son of the late Tadeusz and Krystyna Chromik. He came to Kenosha and attended St. James School and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1967 and St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1971.

He moved to California in 1978 and worked at Body Shop Supplies in Lemon Grove.  At the time of his death, he was Vice-President of the company.

He was survived by his daughter, Jennifer; his sisters, Irene Kubicki, Diana Chromik, Jeannie Seefeldt, Barbara Chromik and Helen Goff; and one brother, Edward Chromik.

He passed away at the age of 52 in Lemon Grove, California on April 14, 2000.
